Elise Neumann, born in Rostock, received her first cello lessons from the age of six. A few years later, she began guitar lessons with her mother Margit Neumann. Numerous awards at national and international competitions for guitar followed.
Elise Neumann studied guitar with Franz Halász at the University of Music in Augsburg and obtained an arts degree with a distinction there. She then continued at the Nuremberg University of Music where she was awarded the master class diploma (Meisterklassendiplom). There she also took postgraduate studies in Early Music with Julian Behr. Furthermore, as a scholarship holder of the German Academic Exchange Service DAAD, she also received tuition from Professor Oscar Ghiglia in Italy.
Apart from her artistic studies, she completed a Master of Music for instrumental teaching at the University of Music Lübeck.
Elise Neumann participated in numerous master classes, with Pavel Steidl, Fabio Zanon, Alex Garrobé, Carlo Marchione, Ricardo Gallén and Marcin Dylla amongst others, and courses on the performance practice of Early Music with Joachim Held, Hartwig Groth, Peter Thalheimer and Massimo Lonardi.
In 2008, she was the winner of the first prize "Premio Accademia Santoro-Award" of the competition Concorso Internazionale di Chitarra - Omaggio a Joaquín Rodrigo in Italy. In 2011, she won first prize at the International Agustín Barrios Guitar Competition in Nuoro, Italy. Her debut CD came out on the label Brilliant Classics in 2012.
Aside from concerts Elise Neumann has worked as a lecturer for guitar at Lübeck University of Music since 2013. Since October 2019 she has been teaching at Rostock University of Music and Drama (HMT) and at the Rostock Conservatory since 2021.

Elise Neumann, geboren in Rostock, erhielt ihren ersten Unterricht auf dem Cello im Alter von sechs Jahren. Einige Jahre später begann sie mit Gitarrenunterricht bei ihrer Mutter Margit Neumann. Zahlreiche Auszeichnungen bei nationalen und internationalen Wettbewerben für Gitarre folgten.
Elise Neumann studierte Gitarre bei Prof. Franz Halász an der Hochschule für Musik Augsburg und erlangte dort das Künstlerische Diplom mit Auszeichnung. Anschließend absolvierte sie ein Meisterklassenstudium an der Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg, sowie ein Zusatzstudium für Alte Musik bei Julian Behr. Darüber hinaus erhielt sie als Stipendiatin des DAAD Unterricht bei Prof. Oscar Ghiglia in Italien. Neben ihren künstlerischen Studien schloss sie an der Musikhochschule Lübeck ein Studium mit dem Master of Music für Instrumentalpädagogik ab.
Elise Neumann nahm an zahlreichen Meisterkursen teil, u.a. bei Pavel Steidl, Fabio Zanon, Alex Garrobé, Carlo Marchione, Ricardo Gallén und Marcin Dylla, sowie an Kursen zur Aufführungspraxis Alter Musik bei Joachim Held, Hartwig Groth, Peter Thalheimer und Massimo Lonardi.

Neben ihrer Konzerttätigkeit war Elise Neumann seit 2013 Dozentin für Gitarre an der Musikhochschule Lübeck. Seit 2019 unterrichtet sie an der Hochschule für Musik und Theater Rostock, seit 2021 am Konservatorium Rostock.
